You want to know how to be a good leader? First, love.

To be a good leader, first you have to be in love.

I did not believe it when I wasn’t in love but now I do. I can see how much I have changed since I love someone. I used to be tough and hard to deal with. I used to be cold that I did not really care about the story behind but the result.

But love changes everything. To be in long term relationship, you have to feel more than think. You’ll learn to accept the fact that no one is perfect and it’s okay to be different from each other. You stop expecting people to act the way you want them to. When recruiting, you’ll choose not perfect members but right one.

Relationship increases my interpersonal skills. I talk more to understand people without judging them. Love makes me more thorough and caring. In a team, I care not only about tasks but also about my members’ well-being, what is the pain in their ass that keep them from doing their job well. Therefore, I can do something to make them perform better.

My changes have both good and bad sides but I accept it as a way to grow. It’s okay to change even for better or worse.
