True love

He is not interested in saying “I love you”.

He secretly gave you your favorite chocolate in the morning when you were running an event together.

He takes a day off to bring you to the hospital since you are his priority. He does everything just to make sure that you are okay.

He goes to the drugstores when you are sick and calls you early in the morning just to remind you to have your medicine.

He goes all the way to the airport with you just to help carry your suitcase and say goodbye. He picks you up when you are back just to make sure that you get home safe.

You both have a ritual that he hugs you tight every time one of you travels.

He spends his first salary to buy you a lipstick.

He cooks you lunch.

One day in the afternoon, you both come home early. He would cook you something really good. And you would make orange juice. It is a lovely afternoon.

When you guys go out eating, he eats all the things that you don’t like to eat.

He travels with you.

He does not feel hesitate to buy you pads when you suddenly have period. He is there when you are dealing with physical pain.

He loves your naked face. He inspires you to exercise to stay healthy.

You buy him a pair of socks. He might complain: “They are too small.” But he wears them on special days and sees them as “Lucky socks”.

You enjoy watching him sleeping even when he looks ugly. You love all those mornings when you wake up and he sleeps right next to you. You love all nights when you fall asleep in his warming arms.

He makes you feel like a girl who has the nature of caring, nurturing and loving.

Whenever he has time, he spends it with you.

One day, he says: “I don’t feel like learning today. Let’s go on a short trip.”. Then you find yourself go out of the town.

He is your Happy-new-year kiss every year.

He gives you his childhood handkerchief, his T-shirts so that you have something to hold when he is not around.

Sometimes he randomly asks you: “Do you love me?”. You’d say: “Yes, of course.”. And he’d say: “I do love you a lot.”

He becomes your best friend, the one you can share everything in life with.

He is not afraid of showing his real feelings and emotions. He cries on your shoulder. And he becomes a shoulder for you to cry on.

He is the one who patiently deals with your anger, sadness and failures.

You may fight a lot. But you fight to know each other, not to fall apart.

He is the type of boyfriend who kisses his girl when she is jealous no matter they are at school or at a party.

He buys you BR ice cream whenever you are mad at him.

He surprises you with your favorite milk tea when you are in bad mood.

That’s moment when you are so mad at him but can’t help hugging him.

He deals with everything crazy that you come up with. With calm. And love.

He makes you feel safe. He always say: “Don’t worry! I am here for you.”. And he is your braveness.

He makes you feel comfortable being the real you. He embraces your flaws and inspires you to be better.

He might not say how much you are meant to him. But he shows you by holding your hands in public, by being with you every single day through thick and thin, by standing still while things get tougher.

That’s how you know he is your love. Action is the key.

You once have all the rules when it comes to love. But you break them all just to love him since he deserves it.

He might not love you the way you expect him to. But it does not mean he does not love you with all his heart.

You don’t fall in love once. You fall in love everyday with that same person.

People say do not fall too deep, keep something for you in other not to be broken when your love leaves.

They said do not either trust anyone 100% or put your happiness into someone else’s hand so that they can hurt you.

They said quite a lot. But they are never ever been in love. I mean true love.

Of course love hurt. Of course there is a chance your partner will leave. Of course you have to take responsible for your own happiness.

But when you are truly madly in love, even if there is a chance that love doesn’t last, you will take it anyway.

You will give without wanting back.

You will trust without doubt.

You will forgive, no, you can’t even get mad for a long time.

And I think that kind of love is so damn brave.

You choose to fall even when you don’t know for sure you will be caught.

Those are the lips that you want to kiss for the rest of you life.

And in a moment you really mean it.

He is not perfect.

But he is perfect for you.

He is your choice. And you have to take responsibility for it.

You fight for what you love. You don’t just throw it away.

Love heals.
